15x10 and 17x4.5 with mickey radials. Not a DD but still wouldn't keep them on for occasional street use, they do not inspire confidence on the street at all. Cornering or exiting while braking is sketchy and the car likes to pull. When hard braking the front walks around and vibrates quite a bit. Road noise is minor annoyance but not a big deal. Your braking power is almost all in the front and is really only as good as the front tire. So not a fan of the feel. Especially with better front brakes they just overpower the tires. My street setup is night and day better which is 18x10's on all four corners. So I avoid driving the track setup on the street unless is to and from the track etc.

I roll around on my drag tires (4-1/2" front rims with skinnies,) to and from work and around town probably 1000 miles a year. Braking is actually decent, cornering is compromised. Thing is, the car is probably still more nimble than my beater ranger pickup. I have had to do at least one somewhat emergency maneuver, what you notice is you need about double the steering input to get the car to turn, but it's OK. Just drive with a lot more caution - it's up to you if it's worth it.

As for strength, how do 3000+ lb drag cars do big wheel stands and come slamming back down on these non dot skinnies without bending or breaking them?

I haven't really hit any potholes so I'm not sure how mine would perform. Again, careful, slow. It's a great insurance against speeding/wreckless driving tickets.. haha.

They have 40+ PSI in them and fat sidewalls.
Plus they don't really come slamming down unless they bail and tap the brakes.
More of a gentle decent as the torque decreases.

Noted, however the race stars don't scream garbage... and if you go find a few videos of people slamming it down on the oil pan - the fronts are usually OK.

Based on just picking up a real draglite vs. a race star, I'd say the draglite had less meat in it.

JMHO! Either way don't smash the potholes.
