Fan problems car overheating

This has been going on for almost two years .first I had a short in plug going into fan.the ground was burning. So I would clean it and it would be ok for a while.then it happened again so I ran another ground wire. It was ok for a long time but now it keeps blowing the 40 amp fan fuse.mostlynhappens at idle the car overheats. Anyone have this problem.i can't find a fix for this.

Replace the fan temp sensor, and then the fan, there is a short.

The fan is new.first thing I replaced when this started happening.

If it drawing enough current to blow a 40amp fuse you have a short in either the fan motor or the fan resistor in the temp sensor. If there are burn marks in the connector wiring or at the fuse panel relay that is a tell tale on these cars. It is not too uncommon.

Check the underside of the BEC that house the fan relays, these cars have issues where they melts this.

New part will suffer the same fate, we tend to replace with a couple of external relays.

On my car I ran thicker wire, 10awg to the fan. You could clean up and fix the burnt wiring and then use the normal low and high speed power wires to trigger relays which then feeds the fan power from an alternate power source.

I took the wires out from the fuse box and installed aftermarket heavy duty 40 amp relays. I was told the ones ford uses from factory are weak to begin with, I guess that is part of why this issue exists.

All I know is since I did the swap 0 issues with the fan. Everything else is stock except the 2 relays.

Ok guys so if the fuse panel is burnt like in above pics,I can still use with the fix u guys describe? Sorry for all the questions. Just trying to get this resolved.also if my fuse panel is ok will this still resolve my problem,won't be able to check till tomorrow

Checked panel and everything is fine. Nothing burnt.im at a loss because fuse blew again . I did however find a part number for the harness female connector that plugs into fan.anyone think this may fix?
