If a picture is worth a thousand words then how many words is a video worth?

Thanks for sharing :)

The vid below is NOT from Autobahn, but from Putnam Park, which really is a pretty smooth track. As you can see, even under hard braking on R-comps, the wiggle has been reduced to a very manageable level, one that I no longer find particularly pucker-inducing.

Ok, that's the goal - "not particularly pucker-inducing."

Toggling back and forth from around 0:25 to 0:52 really shows two differences pretty dramatically. First, the whole chassis is simply more level. You're bouncing around like a boat down the whole straight in 0:25 compared to what we see in the second half. The second thing is that this brake wiggle is really pronounced in the first half, and I do think I detect it a bit of it in the second half but far-far less.

Nice vid. I've seen it before, but never paid attention to anything except for the obvious difference in dive.

Thanks again.

No problem. The wiggle was REALLY getting to me, and I was assuming that it was dive-oriented. I think I was looking at the wrong end of the car, to be honest, but the "fix" (dampers/spring rates) wound up fixing the issue anyway. I think the key to moderating the wiggle is to keep the rear end from hiking up like an old woman confronting a mouse would hike up her skirt, and stiffening the front will certainly help there.

I'll have to double check my notes, but I don't think KB's arm is much longer than Steeda's competition piece. I think it was 1-1/2" to 1-3/4" longer...not sure. Still a little nice to see more than one suspension company thinking along the same lines.

Here's a shot of the OEM part alongside the Steeda:

That is the Steeda one I have. It is really beefy but an absolute PITA to install in the long position as you have to bend the lip of the gas tank. It is however worth the effort.

... Or, chuck it all together, and go with a torque arm. That said, I've also heard that TA's can have some wicked side-effects...

What are some of the "wicked side-effects" of the Torque Arm? The only negative thing about a TA is additional unsprung weight. Are there some handling issues?

Other than a Watts Link, or a Mumford link is there any other better way to locate the rear axle in a car for the twisties? We just put the Griggs GR40 kit on our project car and with the torque arm the only down sides are the increased NVH because it basically acts as a big tuning fork. The other thing is exhaust clearance which can be a real pain depending on what mid pipe you have.
