After wanting em for probably 10-12 years for the 09 I’m gonna do it. Don’t drive the car much, don’t care about mileage. Enjoy the noise. Has catless X pipe and Stingers so it’s rowdy. Doing the FRPP hot rods. Car has 55k miles and is up on the 4 post most of the time so maybe this’ll make me drive it more. Already Lito tuned for the bolt on’s it’s got, doesn’t look like too much trouble to retune for these cams.

Here’s my shopping list, let me know if I should do something else. Car doesn’t need timing work yet.

(Best price / dealer / vender for the M-6550-3V?)
Cam phaser bolts
Wedge tool (used to make these back in the day with my 3D printer)
OEM Ford valve cover gaskets
Ford RTV gray sealant for the head corners / valve cover
Assembly lube

Missing anything? Good recommended vender that’s got a good price for the cams?

I got mine through LMR.com, but mostly because they are local here in TX. Most shops will have the same pricing for Hot Rods.

I would strongly suggest doing the Ford Racing Lash Adjusters, followers and cam phasers while you are in there.

I’ll take a look at em. Shocked if they’re bad at 55k. Normally see these replaced over 100k sometimes 150k
