What a crazy "Trick or Treat" night at the track. The Treat was my first pass after the motor got to cool down after the trip. The Trick was how they ran things tonight. Instead of running through each lane, they pulled the first cars from each lane and had them run. Instead of making a pass and cooling down while the other lanes ran, you were constantly pulling your car forward, never getting a chance to really cool down. I gotta remember to adjust my dial-in.

12.976 - new best, beat a new GTO.
13.045 - 13 minutes later, beat a 427R.
13.097 - 19 minutes later, beat a SN95.
13.545 - 17 minutes later, lose to SN95 vert, ASSHAT in front of me drives through the waterbox, I slide like crazy, that and I was asleep at the tree.
13.101 - 21 minutes later, SN95 vert again, I got it right this time.
13.081 - 18 minutes later, beat a Chevelle
13.019 - 25 minutes later, beat Camaro
13.029 - 19 minutes later, Remember the ASSHAT? I raced him and his motor went BOOM! Poor little import.
13.026 - 13 minutes later, Semi-Finals, lose to a pretty sharp El Camino with the dial-in mod.

Now that is breakin into the 12's with style, racing a GTO and not only beating him, but beating him by alot. Haha!

When the air gets even cooler, you will be in the 12's consistenly I think....

That 13.01----I think if you would have skipped lunch that would have been a 12 second pass to.

Congrats!!!!:onfire::onfire: The only thing between you and consistent 12s is your 60'. You've got that 1.8 60' nailed down pact. LOL... Get it to 1.7 and you'll be in the 12s all the time.

Thanks guys. Last night I noticed that in the run where the Monster Civic blew up the tower got my dial in wrong - 12.0 instead of 12.9, I gotta remember to watch for that too.

The staging lanes at SRP are slightly uphill, usually when a car is being pushed it's by 3 or 4 guys. The night cooled off well and for the most part I was hooking up, it would have been better as the night went on if only I could let the car cool down. Right before the Civic run, I was about 3rd in my line and couldn't take it any more. I asked the track worker if I could at least run to the friggin bathroom. He said I had plenty of time so off I went. I was about halfway back when I hear someone honking the U-197 horn so I picked up the pace and as I got there another track worker is screaming "WHO OWNS THIS #@%#$ MUSTANG! I walked up to him and explained the other guy said I had time to go pee-pee-poo-poo-ahh-ahh. He then tells me the other guy "Doesn't really work here". Then why the HELL do you have him directing traffic? Now I'm in a shitty mood, pull up, stage, watch the fireworks (Civic) and suddenly felt a whole lot better. DAMMIT Ted you should have been there to get video!

I've still got to work on my launch and time to lighten the front of the car. Maybe I'll be in touch with Larry soon about a shortblock. Then Whipple it. Whipple it real good.

Or maybe I should find gainful employment first. Decisions, decisions...

Bring it on!

what all do you have done? Nice times reguardless...also what tires are you on?

Thanks. 4.10s, intake/tune, CMDPs, UDPs, Spydershaft, 3k TC, P/S delete and M&H 275/50/17s

well....up hill I guess not practical...... what does ur vert weigh?

HEAVY!!! 4,000 w/driver before the rollbar was put in.

Way to go man! gotta love cool dry air ;-)

Heck yeah! If only I had been given a chance to let the car cool down, I think I would have hit it again. If the weather holds out, I'll try to make it back next Wednesday. Or maybe the test and tune tomorrow without a few of the creature comforts.
