Well i took my car to the track for the first time ever and for my first time ever being on a track I was pretty consisint with my times, except my 60' times were all horrible around 2 seconds if I can get that around a 1.5-1,6 i should be running 11.6's ish I was doing around 4k-5k launches and could only get a best 60' of 1.96 one time but any tips would help me out here. I was running 12.5's-12.6's. the track prep was really bad it might have been because it was unusually cold, and i was pretty unimpressed with the tires i was runninng I had MT et streets 26x10.5x15's they do only have 8" of thread though. So I am just going to prolly just get some 285 or so DR's on my 18's. My car did break at one point to lmao. My hose going from my overflow can to my aftercooler somehow got against me headers and burnt a hole in it causing it to not build boost and loose all coolant. it was a pretty easy fix and I plugged my water/methanol up for extra safety after that happeend and I just ran water to help keep IAT's down. Here is one of my runs I wanted to post this video because I was against a LS2 GTO with heads cams I/H/E.. you can see me spinning on the launch as it hits the rev limiter pretty hard in 1st and it kind of gets out a little bit but I still came away with the victory.. this was my only red light for the day I believe by -.010 lol. I will also get some pictures up I took and some of the other videos later on in the day.:thumb:

sounded like a lot of spinning in 1st and second, any more vids?

how much of a burnout were you doing? what gear and what MPH were you seeing on the burnout? for sure with 15" bias plys you should be able to pull better 60s.

There was a lot of spinning in 2nd as well.. I have more videos but I havent up loaded them yet and I am at work so I will get it this afternoon, I was getting the speedo to around 25 and holding it for a few seconds but my friends were saying it wasnt smoking hardly at all... another major issue I think is because the rear of my car is slammed and I only have about .5" of clearence before I hit the bump stops. and I could feel it in 1st and second come back and hit the bump stops hard and I think that lack of suspension travel was hurting me bad, I am thinking I am going to get some springs that lower the car about 1-1.5" vs the 2"+ that the sportlines do.

your burnout is not getting enough heat in the tire. you need to do a 2nd gear burnout and get the MPH to 50-55 for 4-5 second IMO (worked well for me and has been recommended by most drag guys here)
the suspension travel issue is a bit over my head, however it seems that would hurt your weight transfer and your tractions

is your LCA/UCA upgraded? have you checked your pinion angle?

my suspension is bone stock except springs. i need some new shocks but im honestly thinking i might just pickup some coilovers. and i need to do somethign to change my pinon angle because in my 1st to 2nd gear shift i can hear the driveshaft touch under the car you can actually hear it in the video as well.

Most important, Did you have fun your first time out?

With your MPH you should easily be 11.6's range.

with what 60s?

you also have to figure his mph is higher because he was spinning .....

kenneth ran 11.6 with around 116mph but he's a auto i ran an 11.7 @ 118 but stick ...we lose a lil having to shift so our mph needs to be a lil higher than theirs

id deff say if you hook you should deff get 11's no prob now 11.6's i dunno maybe kinda hard to judge with all that burning out lol

anyone feel like explaining to me how your mph is higher when you spin? Ive heard that before but dont understand it because if you are spinning you lose momentum which you would think would cause a lower mph.

if u hook the tires start moving at a constant speed, if u spin by the time the car hooks the tire is already going faster. so imagine u raced from a roll the same distance. does that make sense?

anti-roll bar, adjustable upper, and set that pinion angle correctly if you want to hook and not complain about track prep.
