It's just going to be a matter of trial and error on your part to find the "sweet spot". I would start by lowering your tire pressure. I run 18" Nittos and set them at 17psi, and probably going to start dropping them down to 16psi.

Second thing is you need to smoke them pretty good. Do your burnout at least 40mph. Some folks will say more. I am just saying "at least". And once they start smoking hold it there for a good 5 seconds.

Last, work on your launch RPM. You should be much higher than 1100. Pull in to the staging area until you light the first bulb. Brake it, bring the RPMs up almost to the point of breaking the tires loose, then lightly ease off the brake until the second bulb lights. Back on the brake, keeping the RPMs as high as possible. When you see the last amber light, side step the brake and dent the floor pan under the accelerator pedal!

I pretty much agree with Doc, except for one detail. I don't get up on the converter until after I light both stage bulbs. I prefer to stage as shallow as I can (it helps ET), and if I try to creep in to the 2nd bulb while I have the rpms up, I roll in too deep.

I completely agree with Don. Just figured we would work on his launching first, then work on his staging.

That you can launch at all on the 20" Nitto tire is saying something. Last car I saw with those was our twin turbo Charger. Damn thing lit the tires at the hit and spun them through all four gears. Lifted at 900 feet and ran 12.55 at 79 mph.

Follow Doc's advice.
