For those with aftermarket front door speakers..

I swapped out the door speakers in my car...I'm looking for some sort of protection for the 8's as the stock speakers had a hard grill as part of the speaker and the replacements don't what if anything is out there? Post pics of what you have if you can. Thanks

I thought the door mounted lowers were sub-woofers and the speakers were in the door panel flush mounted behind the grab handle?

Thats true...I replaced both with after market "Boston" seperates...I'd like to have some sort of protection for the subs so my dumbass doesn't kick it when I'm trying to get in and out around my rollbar.

I just ripped the cover off the old subs. So it looks stock even with new speakers

When I first redid mine I reused the stock grills. Attached them to the speaker frame with velcro. Then I eventually replaced that with some covers made by Pyle.

There is no way the the factory cover will work . We are actually using a boston 8" subwoofer .that thing will smack it all the time , but i did use the ring to make it look better .
