Anybody on here ever order a 9" from Strange? They built the ones for the Cobra Jets, so I would think they should fit well.

I think from reading everything on the net about the currie vs. the strange, the currie turns out to be much more bolt in friendly. I think people have to modify the stange a bit to get fit just right.

@Chuck, you guys sold me an S&W 9" bolt in rear end for the 05+, when it was sold to me on S&W's website it said stock brakes will work, and you guys told me that at your booth at National Trails also. Now I read on their site that stock brakes DO NOT fit, and the design in the middle is a little different. Did something change? I would like to know because I plan on building my 9" over the winter and would like to know if I have to budget in some new brakes also.

Thanks

Shouldnt be a problem, I use the stock brakes on our 9" all the time. You just need the proper Strange adapter kit (I don't know the part number) but you won't have any issues. Just have to double check the spacing (may need more spacing to get the calipers to center properly on the rotors). When you are installing the rear, make sure you transfer over the anti-groan brackets (u bolt looking things that are on the axle) or it will make noise.
