well I am in the middle of my build and the only thing that I am waitng for is Pistons and rods. Manley have the 11.5:1 piston cr I want and well I have been in contact with thier facilities and through mmr ( I know the horor stories) about these pistons! Well here is the Problem They are Designing something new about them or stopped production or whatever and Are 4 weeks out until the next batch is even scheduled to be made! Does anyone know a good compariable piston that can handle or is as good as the manley stuff? I was hoping to have my motor back together runing tuned and broken in by than!

(call for different ratios)

/\ they can make you what ever you want. Speak to Mike and tell him what you are doing and he'll get the best set up for your motor.

Tell him my I sent you and he'll charge you double :roflmao:

give livernois a call, their pistons are cut for retension of the stock piston squirters. not sure what they are rated to though but the combination they sell come with H beam rods.

This is what I'm looking at right now. Should be an easy swap being that my car is running fine, and then I'll be able to up the boost a little and not have to worry every time I step on the gas.

juiced I have been on the phone with livernois for a bit and they have standard bore wich in their piston (ROSS) is .003" and a bore size of 3.631-3.632 uncoated with rods, arp 2000 bolts in stock for $1199.00 only thing you will need is the clevit main bearings for $130.00. I was going to use this but I wanted to do a .005 over and that would require a custom piston. if your motor is in working condition before the build this is by far the cheapest and most readily availiable parts..

I have gregg at MMR drop shipping my pistons in 2 weeks from manley in .005" 11.5:1 cr

why not the .003 over? was your block needing a little more on the cleanup? 1200 wow, that is a decent price for pistons and rods.

the block needed .004 and I am going to run nitrous so I want at .005 a .003 std bore will be tight over. From what I have been researching is the most common are the std. bore-.010-.020. the .005 seems to be the red headed stepchild of the bore sizes.

Nope #8 piston decided to melt some material to the block , and the ring scoured it some. Like I said a .003 will work but It will be tight wanted some room for expansion since nitrous and eventually tt setup that's why I chose custom .005 bore.
