I've done research and it doesn't seem to come up a whole lot....I'm wondering how many people have upgraded their stock front sway bar endlinks to something like Sam Strano's pieces or Steeda?

I'm not someone who takes my car out to the auto-x or road races...yet. I just like spirited driving. I do know that those end links were a bitch to tighten back up after I installed my Koni STR.Ts.

Thoughts?

+1. I run Sam's bars and endlinks, and while they are killer pieces, there are MUCH better mods to start with than endlinks. If you're changing or adjusting your front bar on a semi-regular basis, then yes, the adjustables are well worth it, but if you're doing a "set and forget," just go to Ford and get new endlink nuts for the stock piece and be done with it.

I had them on a Street S197, they were nothing but a pain in the ass, i could not get the to quiet down, they would make clicking sounds over every bump. I Did not feel any noticable performance improvement, this is a part for guys who are looking to get every last ounce of performance on the track. Save your money for other suspension mods...

I appreciate the advice...thanks guys! I was leaning towards just getting new bolts from Ford and this helps out.

RIP - You will be missed
I have Sam's endlinks and bars, more for the strength and ease of tightening than anything else. I have the front bar on the middle setting.

I have not had any clicking at all, but I did get an odd groan recently when one or possibly both links rotated enough to rub up against something and sort of stuck there. A little WD-40 on each rod end immediately made everything quiet again, and so far it seems to be holding up OK.

I have Sam's endlinks and sometimes get some clicking. It is hard to tell how often because of the other noises as my suspension is almost all rod ends and poly bushings plus Koni Yellows set fairly hard. Not to mention the brake squeal. :)

You did say what year your car is but apparently the early design, which was definitely a PITA to keep tight was improved after a while.

Blue Loctite is also your friend.

Definitely have lots of Blue Loctite on hand after doing the LCAs, UCA and mount, shocks/struts, springs and panhard bar myself.

Is there a revised part number for those end links?

Heim joints are great on a race car, but they do requite lubrication somewhat often or they will start squeaking and whatnot. Some people dont recommend them for the street. I say theyre fine for the street as long as you remember to keep them lubed up.

Its not a bad mod, and is fairly cheap, but dont expect a dramatic effect. They will be helpful once the rest of the chassis and suspension is made to have less deflection.

Only reason I replaced my end links with aftermarkets is because the design is different, allowing you to get proper torque on the nut, and they are also greasable. Too bad that did not cure my clunk.

That's the one reason I would look at different endlinks...different design that can actually be torqued down properly. I know when I was putting my struts back in I was probably about 5 ft/lbs away from completely stripping that nut.

POWERGRID?

Never heard of them either, but apparently they're for real (if somewhat scattered in their product mix).

Linky

Norm

Yeah I did a quick Google search as well and found that link...they don't have prices or anything though?

Again I think I can safely assume I won't push my car as hard that many of you in this forum, but I think most of us agree the stock endlinks suck ass.

There are a number of link options as you've found. Mine are the way the are because strong and tough was the number one priority, which is why we use big rod-ends and that's pretty much that. :)
