The gate doesn't fit the v band well. The v band on the piping is made for the pte46 and the godspeed 44 fire ring doesn't seem to fit into the gate far enough to seal it. I know the larger the better in this situation, but I have this gate I could use. I am also going to be 3.5" downpipe with all the rest of the post turbo exhaust past the ac compressor area is 3"

How much is this going to punish your crank and drivetrain?

Not too worried about the drive train. The crank will need to prove itself. Plan is to go with the Bosch 1650 injectors. I also want to get an S&H intake as long as they come out by spring. I figure if I can make this flow well enough and be efficient enough the power will come with less stress. Will it be enough less to last will be the really experiment here

One thing I do have to say is, if this engine makes the summer I am going to have to build a heated shop. I haven't done a thing to the car lately. Garage is insulated but not heated and it is in the low 30s out there right now.

It was said tongue in cheek. I think you will do just fine as long as you don't hook up, lol. You will have enough power to break axles imo.

Do you have a brace for the rear end?

Yes, the rear end has a Che brace with frpp diff cover. I want to add a one piece ds too. This is going for a dyno sheet stock crank shocker. The boost will go back down at the track as I still haven't gotten the previous power level to preform lime it should yet. It will be more efficient at the 650-700hp range though and should flatten the tq curve out some instead of falling so hard so early from backpressure

Progress is all but moving at a snail's pace. With it being Christmas season it is hard to shake a lot of mod funds loose.

I ordered a 3.5" v-band for the turbo and a set of ball joints to go on the stock manifolds. I still need to do some messing around with piping ideas once the turbo gets here to see what other piping I will need. Hopefully I can really start rolling on this soon.

Well it was a good day. Got the tracking info from Jeremy this morning for the turbo and just snagged an ATI Superdamper from Steve Poe.

The twins were a blast but just overkill for my goals. There is definetley such a thing as too much turbo for the motor. I got an offer I couldn't refuse so the twins are going to an 03 cobra, compound boost setup we are building 1000rwhp+ build.

I'm thankful to not be obsessed with track times I enjoy blasting down the strip once a year regardless of what it runs and it will always be my street toy. That reminds me I need to drop the trans to get it looked at since 4th gear doesn't exist anymore... lol Also the clutch was slipping on the 2step and rolling through last time out so need to look at the clutch and slave. I should probably add the true trac and 4.10s sometime too or may just sell them.

What's in the works for her? Our single kit 2.0 is the goal lol, going to kick the kit up a notch and then may make it an option afterwards. Slightly bigger twin scroll turbo with diverter/spool valve. With dual .50ar scrolls, will have the low end torque and transient response of a .50ar turbine and the top end of a 1.00ar turbine. Will be a T4/3.5" with a 3.5" down pipe as well. No new power goal, not looking for anymore than I already have but the kit is going to be able to handle 1200rwhp. I do plan to make the fastest spooling and most power per boost single kit out there for my little 9:1 281. ;) I will probably start on it after the new year.
