Bruce, reading back through your thread again it looks as though the GT500 pan kit may be my best bet here. Do you think that the pan thickness is adequate enough to be drilled and tapped for an oil drain back?

Yes I do.

If the mains that come with the boss block don't allow for the windage tray, then how important do you think it is? Does the main bolt kit that comes with the block include the stand off for the oil pickup tube?

I doubt the standoff itself will be there but the main bolt with the standoff stud should be there.

But not the standoff correct? Just trying to be sure that I keep what I need to from my previous engine

I really should get the timing cover coated this time around. I also wanna get the compressor cover coated again. I just wish I could pick up a C&L to get coated to match everything too. S&H, you guys do silver vein?

Excuse my ignorance on the topic, but I thought that the big bores use 3.7" pistons and that there weren't any over sizes...say .010, .020, etc....?????Can you over bore a big bore like you can the standard aluminum 4.6's? If so, why don't I see any of those pistons on mod max. I'm assuming you can get custom ones if you have to go over ever?

I've read of people doing overbores with it. Ordering pistons isn't a big deal. There are more sources than modmax out there.

Yea I assumed that was the case but just thought I'd ask the question to clarify as someone may know off hand.

Stock heads, 3.800 crank, 5.850 rods. Sorry, didn't realize I typed cams instead of heads
