Not a lot of progress this weekend but definetly some. Figured out my belt length and got the proper belt ordered. I also got the trunk carpet and everything put back in. Wiring all ran for the fuel pumps and the battery reinstalled. I also painted my JPC intake and got it installed. Finished most of the wiring harness and mounted the fuel rails so I can run the fuel lines.
Get the hotside done today. Next time it goes on the car it stays on. I will do the rest of the finish welding tomorrow and then clean up a few welds here and there. Also got the correct belt on the car so that is done. I ended up ordering all new fuel lines and ends for my fuel system so that will be next.
This will be the end of this weekends progress. Ready to wrap the hotside, got the evap system completely removed and spent a frickin hour getting the triple pump hat in. I pulled the syphon tube loose from a bracket that holds it up in the tank I think. I couldn't completely pull the tube out so I think it is still attached. Anyway, starting to get close now. All the fittings for the new fuel lines are here I just have to get it done. The 4 lines off the fuel hat are run to under the car so that much is done. The coolant tank and lines are really the only thing left to be figured out.
Got the hotside all wrapped and installed for good now. Also got the pre and post turbo wastegates on. Water lines are on the turbo and have that pretty much laid out. Finished up the rest of the wiring harness besides the coils and injectors. I have new plugs here I need to get put in and have yet to order injectors. I also got the fuel pressure regulator mounted and the fuel lines all made. Finished up the weekend by getting the cold side all looked up and tacked.
Pretty much just have to mount the oil filter and run those lines, finish the coolant lines, order injectors and find someone to finish weld the cold side.
I had a 3.5" outlet welded on the intercooler with the maf flange mounted in that outlet. I lowered the pipe going to the tb a little for more hood clearance and have it all tacked together now. Found someone local that can tig weld it for me. Hoping to fire this thing up in 2 weeks, 3 weeks tops as long as I can swing the ID1300 injectors. This car hasn't had a running engine in it since august of last year so I can't wait at this point.
