How necessary are they? Mechanical or electric fuel and oil pressure?

Considering the autometer pod with Ford Racing gauges, or the Shelby set up.

Street car only and running 17psi F/I.

Really, all you should need with a boosted car is Fuel Pressure, Boost, and a wideband o2 AFR gauge.

Everything else, aside from oil pressure, you don't really NEED.

The necessity of them is in direct relation to your curiosity to monitor the cars systems.

Any fluid that is to be monitored should be done with an electrical gauge so that you keep the fluids out of the main cabin of the car
