gen 2 motor in a 2012 s197

Blew the motor in my 2012 gt 6 speed with a gen 1. Looking to swap a gen 2 with pcm, harnes and everything attached to it due to it having better internals etc, will it be direct plug and play? will i have sync issues or anything like that?

Doubtful it will be plug n play, unless you want to do ALL modules, guages, sjb, abs, and whatever else.

Put gen 1 timing components and cam sensros on the gen 2 engine and run it with the gen 1 electronics. That is the only plug n play option.

Crank shaft is completely cracked through, not worth the time or money to have a shop check it out by me. only had 48k miles

I would be interested in the cylinder heads.
