Okay guys I have scored a P1SC stage 2 kit that I should have by next week and then starts the install. This kit comes with a 3.85 Centri pully and makes 12-13 on a stock block. I have the full FRPP upper end (intake, TB, cams, etc..) I called procharger and they said use a 4.10 pully but wasnt sure exactly what boost i would be at. I want a max of 8-10lbs. Any one else out there running this or a similar setup on there car at this boost level? I'm new to the boost scene so this is a first for me. I have dyno time and a good tuner whos tuned several termi's and s197's but even he wasnt sure on the size. Shooting for 500 to the tire safely...

I did search but havnt found exactly what I was looking for.... Thanks fellers..:evillaugh:

Use the 4.10 pulley that Procharger directed you to use. Save the 3.85 pulley for later when your shortblock can handle the 12-13 psi. With your mods and the 3.85 you'll be seeing boost numbers around the 10-12 mark, which should easily make around 500-515 rwhp. In your case and setup its not gonna hurt to have a little less power that the 4.10 pulley will provide. Would hate to see you break something a thrash those CNC heads.

so your saying that with the 4.10 I would make 500 ttt? or close to that I should say..

I suggest to wait, depending on the cams you boost will be lower, I would also suggest on being more interested in the final numbers than on the boost itself. Also you can spin the car a few rpms less if you don't want to get onto those boost levels but the car will behave better down low.

Great choice in blower.But I am partial.lol
what kinda power are you making and whats the total mod list. Also what PSI you running and are you stock block or built. Just curious to see what kinda power I can expect....:evillaugh:

If it was me, I would dyno tune the engine with the 4.10" pulley. If it does not produce the boost you want, then put the 3.85" on it. On my car, every .10" in pulley diameter is worth about 1lb of boost.

I made 510hp 430 tq on 13 lbs with the 4.33 pulley on 16 degrees wot timing. All stock except for the blower.I never rev the car to 6400 but,We backed it down to twelve degrees and it sits at 466 hp 417 tq now.But I also have a D1 not a P1.And the boost number is being held higher because of the stock manifolds and exhaust I'm sure.I bought my kit used and the previous owner only made 10.5 lbs on the same pulley with LT's and offroad H.These numbers were all at 6400 rpm's also.Probably wouldnt hurt to have a bigger pulley on hand just incase.I was considering raising up to the 4.5 inch to get the boost down a little.I would have gladly taken a P1 if I hadnt have found the deal on the D1,because I will most likely never max this D1 out, even if I do build the motor later.

Marc you making those numbers on stock short block or have you got a forged bottom end?

Those numbers were on the stock bottom end. I had about 200 passes on it and never had an issue. The engine is torn down getting forged now.

Not only that, I did 10 track days also. I knew that I was pushing my luck with that much power and driving it as hard as I did. However, the centris don't make as much low RPM torque so you can get away with more peak HP. That being said, anytime you go FI, you need to be prepared for the cost to repair it because it will probably break. It's a careful balance between a good tune and luck.

well Im going to Henson Performance in the greater Birmingham area. He tuned my buddies '03 cobra and he made 551rwhp and he said he could handle my car so lets hope its a good tune that makes power safely. Gonna spring for the 4.10 pully and if im not happy change it out for the 3.85 and then see what happens...
