Ah, no. The PCM (Powertrain Control Module) is located under the hood on the passenger side bolted to a bracket on the BEC (Bussed Electrical Center). Inside the car, there are a few additional modules, but they are NOT PCM/ECU modules:
1) SJB (Smart Junction Box) - This thing controls a LOT of what goes on inside the car. It is the interface between the PCM and pretty much everything else, including the instrument cluster to the window switches. It is in the passenger foot well.
2) Restraints Control Module (seat belts and such) - This box is under the dash right at the center console below the radio stack.
3) Climate Control Module (take a wild guess) - Also under the dash at the center console below the radio stack.
4) Accessory Relay Box 1 - A couple of high power relays inside the car. This thing is located beside the instrument cluster under the dash.
5) ABS Controller Module - Under the hood.
Lots of "black boxes" (I guess most of them are actually bare aluminum these days!), but there is only ONE PCM/ECU on our cars.
