Doing this is always a safe option. It should still be checked, however there are very specific tools needed to Properly check pinion depth.
holy crap,,
almost a grand for a kit imo you dont need, as there are plenty of other ways to check pinion depth ,,
heck even on LMR website , they have a video doing it and use cheaper tryed and tested methods ..
before i stick a grand in a tool i wont use , id be half way to on on3 kit lol
and as with anything a tool is only as good as the human using and setting it up,,
and if human error is a factor ,the tool becomes pointless
altho i do appreciate having that option ,, its just not one i can sanely take,
