Hello all -
Spring time storms have hit again in North Texas as usual, and the storms produced golfball to softball size hail. Unfortunately, my car looks like it was attacked by a baseball bat now in my work parking lot. The good thing is the windows held up, with the exception of a crack in the windshield. 6 cars in my row where I parked had their windows blown out. Maybe it's luck or perhaps it was the tint that saved my glass? However, my car has sustained serious hail damage including spoiler cracked in a couple places, and the cover on my trunk is cracked.
This is the first time I have ever filed a claim with my insurance company. I know the spoiler is toast and has to be replaced. Most likely the hood as well since it took the brunt of the hail damage. So here's my question and where I'm going with this. Is it possible to just have him order a bodykit or parts from a vendor like americanmuscle.com and make this work? I figured this would be an opportunity to change the stance of my GT into something more aggressive. Is this something I can do with the body repair shop, or am I just wishful thinking?
To those that live in the DFW area, I hope you and your families are safe, and managed to get your rides out of that weather!
Regards,
Mike
