Keeping the car clean while sitting in the garage...but since mine is going to be near the stairs I wanted one to protect it as much as I can against getting rubbed up against, bumped into, etc...

Drove the stang tonight to pick up the cover and stopped at the ATM for the payment and had 2 people comment on how great the car sounded/looked and then when I was leaving Lowe's I got waves/thumbs up...makes me wonder why I don't drive the car more often!

Pretty much but I still haven't been able to nail Mike down for the final tune. I may put the stock front springs back in. With the Steeda springs and the weight of the turbos up front it is sitting so low the front lip scrapes on almost everything.

So it is time for tires.... Any reason to stay at the stock tire size or any benefits to jump to 255's?? You all are the experts, so let me know.

Only reason I can think to stay with stock size is its cheaper lol

Are your rims 8" wide? 255 would be a good choice I run 255 up front, and 285 rear but i have 9" wide rims.

stock BULLITT rims are 8.5 or whatever I think, I have heard people running 275's on the stock rim but don't think so. The other thing is I noticed NITTO doesn't have 255/50/18, so I would have to drop to 255/45/18, means speedo would be a little off right?

275 is fine for that rim then, I ran 275s on a 17x8 on my 01 gt no issues.

255/45/18 is the size you want anyway, thats stock height( 27" tall ) thats what I run up front.
This is a 255/45/18

And i run 285/40/18 in the rear on a 9" rim which is also 27" tall. But for you, you will want no wider than 275 for a 8.5" rim.

This tire size calculator will help.

Thanks Jeremy, now the issue is run staggered or one size. Hmmm....
with the stock wheels and being your DD consider the same size on all four so you can rotate and get what you pay for. Im a big Michelin fan and have been for a long time. Michelins are not cheap and theres a reason why. Michelin makes a few 255/45/18 tires.

my wifes camry doesnt ride the same with goodyears. We gave GoodYear a shot cause of the pricing and the deal we were given. My f150 rides like a car with my Michelins.

If you have never driven nitto's def check them out, very nice tire. Sounds like for what you want just go with 255/45/18 all the way around. Go with the 555.
