Wow, that was fast! Great news!
I just got a call from my engine builder that it's done.I'll be driving up there tomorrow to pick it up and drop it of at MAP. I hopefully will have the car finished the first part of January.

Thanks Greg!Wow, that was fast! Great news!
Thanks Brady, pass side head all new valves and guides. I'm also installing all new followers and adjusters on that head as a precaution, since 6 followers were broken in half. Cam polished out OK so I didn't have to replace it. Block bored .020 over, new Manley -6.5cc dish pistons with Hellfire SS rings, balanced and assembled.Good news, Earl! Hope Mike gets it done soon. He does good work, so first of the year sounds like it should work.
What all did your engine builder have to do?
Yes Lloyd, with Springfield Machine, is the only one I would have build my engines. When I get it back on the road it will be better then it was before the fire. It will be much more fun to drive on the street with the stock compression pistons. At the track, more low end power with the higher 9.9 compression, new Circle D converter with higher stall, hoping to foot brake to about 3000 and get into the power band with a little boost, should equal 1.5-1.6 60's instead of the 1.97's I was getting. I'm expecting mid to low 10's at the track rental next spring.Nice, did springfield do the build?
sent from, someone buy me a clutch..
Well my engine is at MAP now, so it's finally starting to come back together. Been a long time without my baby. That was one expensive track rental!!
