well after my 4.10's went in, i have driveline vibration, we rotated driveshaft 180 degrees and it got better but still there.

even check the backlash on the gears, and the spec is .008 - .012, and mine is .009, so its in spec.

i almost gave up, came across the article in the magaizine 5.0L and super fords.

there is an article on the driveshaft made by "axle-exchange" and it explains how they "perfected" the driveshaft for the s197 and how its GURANTEED vibration free through special balancing and it has a type of boot for self adjusting angle.

www.axle-exchange.com

I just wanted to get thoughts on it, as i plan on buying one really really soon.

its also 20 something pounds lighter, that makes a huge difference.

If you are having vibration problems with a factory 2 piece, that will not help you. Any 1 piece will make the vibration worse.

not according to their site, and lots of people say the factory is very sensitive and if you drop it its no good and must be replaced.

even says it in the TSB, how do i know that mine isnt vibrating due to someone hitting it with a hammer, or while installing something? i bought this car used.

No vibes up to 130mph with a Powerhouse & 2 sets of 4.10's.

Now I did have vibes with a Shaftmasters shaft @ 90mph, but it's suspected that the U-joints were questionable.

I've heard 100 different reasons as to why these things vibrate, from the shaft to the axles themselves. I'm personally a believer in playing with the pinion angle until you get the results you desire, but that's just me.

Powerhouse is a supporting vendor on this board. Scroll down to the vendor section to find for info on them.

There is a sticky on pinion angles at the top of this page. While I haven't went through the entire thing, I'm fairly certain that the procedure is in there.

I AM NOT PUTTING A GUARANTEE ON THIS FIXING YOUR PROBLEMS. THIS IS WHAT FIXED MY PROBLEMS.
