I was cleaning my GF's car yesterday and noticed from what to be a bronzish/brown stain on her RTR rim, from what it looks like is some jack ass threw coffee in her wheel and the sun baked it. I tried cleaning the wheel normally with Sonax, but it seems like it really is stuck on there good.

It is inside the corners of the wheel and splashed inside the wheel so you can clearly see the dried liquid.

She's really upset about this and I would like to get it fixed, is there anything that is a little more heavy duty that is safe for the aftermarket wheel finish?

Meguiars wheel brightener. Also use an acid neutralizer when you're done. Wear latex gloves.

It is safe but it is definitely strong. I also wouldn't spray it if it's windy out, or you can wear a paint mask.

also look into sealing the wheels, makes clean up a lot easier.

I use a brew of things to clean my rims.

Iron-X + APC + Car Wash (Adams for me)

Also, Adams Deep Wheel cleaner is supposed to be amazing. Going to try it out within the next couple of weeks.

See Example of the combo above.

These rims were COVERED in brake dust, and each rim took roughly 25-30 minutes to thoroughly clean.

Adams Wheel Cleaner works exactly the same as Sonay full effects wheel cleaner, but as mentioned, is not really a degreasing/cleaning agent as much as it is brake dust remover.
Regardless, their stuff is awesome!
