Help Finding A Part

I have gone everywhere and talked to a bunch of people. Does anyone here know where I can find the box circled in blue? The over all pic is what the power distribution box plugs into. The only marking is on the inside of the box which reads "Delphi PA66". Which, when searching that, only brings up individual fuse harnesses.

Even a clue on what the technical name for it is would help. When I spoke ot my local garage they found something on alldata.com that refers to it as "Connector: C1035A Bussed Electrical Center" But searching that also brings up a total blank or shows results that are not what I am looking for.

Any help would be appreciated. I would rather not micky mouse the connection that burned out. (blower fan relay slot) I would much rather replace the box and rewire/insert all the connections.

You’re best bet is to go to a u pull and grabbing the whole connector with wiring. I doubt you’ll find it new anywhere. And you’ll be hard pressed to find someone selling that part too.

Yeah, that is the other issue. The upulls end up selling the motor PDB and harness as one sale. So unless one comes in with a blown motor, I am up the creek.

I am going to have to try or at worst pull the pins and use a standalone and mount it outside of the box.

So after much searching and talking to dozens and dozens of people, I brainstormed and found that I can relocate the relay to an empty part of the box. I will have to relocate the pins and replace the bad one. But it will work.

I just did this a few months ago. It's impossible to find that part, it has to be salvaged. I got lucky at a junk yard and found a V6 with the BEC still in it. Cut the cable to the part and they charged me a few dollars.

I was ultimately going to have to do what you're doing now if I didn't find the part. Some people have moved the low/high fan relays out of the BEC, so that's an option as well.

Before putting it back together you might want to (trace that line and) determine why it got so hot in the first place (i.e. bad fan resistor; bad fan; dirty grounds; weak connection; etc...) which set up a high resistance/high heat condition that melted the plastic. Otherwise, very likely to happen again.

I've been reading about this issue, seems pretty common. It would be awesome if somebody could do a write-up on the root causes and best fix. I for one would be very grateful and I'm sure others would likewise.

I believe it may have been the blower fan. I have replaced all the parts minus the wiring. When I pulled the blower fan out and spun it. It did spin but only about 1.5 revolutions. The new one spun several times. I am fairly sure it was the motor.

As far as the part I am looking for, I have given up. Though I did find a blank area with the same pin setting that I will be able to relocate the relay to.

Using an open location should work provided the wiring is okay and will reach. Just be sure that you document anything you move/label changes.

There is a resistor for the blower motor fan that you probably want to check out as well.

Just wanted to update this and let everyone know that the 08-12 chevy Malibu uses the same fuse box connector housing. Wild!

Some tunes turn on the fan sooner and run it longer. (Does nothing but help melt the wiring). Only applies if tuned obviously.
