Ok so tonight i was out with the guys. Me and a friend went at it at a green light. I didnt launch hard at all more just rolled it out. I went through the gears hard (first through forth). By the time we let off we were braking hard because our destination was comming up. I start to down shift 4-3 then try 3-2 and it made a strange wine! so i pull in to the parking lot in neutral and notice that the car didn't need me to put the clutch in to put it in to 1st or 2ed and wasent allowing me to put it in any other gear 3-5 or reverse.

So now im parked in a parking lot and me and my friend are looking around (one of my friends is a mechanic) no smoke no leaks no smells... I let the car sit for a few minutes and start it back up. seems to be that the car is stuck in 1st gear even when the shifter is in 2ed or neutral! At this point the shift nob can be put in 1st or 2ed with no clutch and will still not got in to any other gear.

So i drive the car all the way home in first FML. The car is driving great becides the fack it will not go in to any other gear. clutch is grabing fine and no strange noise it just feals fine....

Please any help would be great.

Wow, really? I'm not much in to wine, but if you can get it to start making a descent whiskey I will buy the car off of ya.

Has the thought occured to anyone to look and see if the shift linkage came loose? If you can cycle the shifter through the gears, don't have to use the clutch, and the car stays in one gear. That would be the first thing I would look for.

I know man i have know idea what to do now. Return the car to stock and bring it to ford?
Why would returning it to stock help you in any way? If something came loose, they aren't going to be able to say it was directly (or indirectly) caused by any of the mods you have listed in your signature. If something broke, and you completely returned it to stock (and yes, I mean removing the UDPs, driveshaft, putting stock gears back in, EVERYTHING) they are most likely going to say it was caused by driver abuse anyway. So personally, I think putting it back to stock would be a complete waste of time.

It wont go into all the gears. I cant get into 3rd, 4th, 5th, or reverse. It pretty much only has a first gear. When the shifter is in neutral it acts like it is in first. And second gear as like first as well.

Did you read Hawgman's post? everything he said sounds like what you are talking about. Jack up the car and check it out. Our transmissions use remote shifters, it is likely this is the cause. Could be a simple fix.

I think you missed what they are trying to tell you. Your Clutch still works and you can still drive, but it is stuck in first gear. Get under your car and check the shifter linkage. Atleast then you'll know it's not that or a simple fix before you take it to a dealer or another shop.

You gonna drive in 1st til you get a day off? It will take you 5 minutes to diagnose this if it is the linkage. Now get out there and jack the car up slide under on your back with a flashlight and inspect the shift linkage from where it comes out under the shifter to where it connects to the trans.
Report your findings back.
