cmon guys. i posted that i looked in the combustion chamber with a borescope, and i didnt see anything. no damage, no spark plug piece. the break doesnt look clean at all, so i dont think its new. i am building a motor currently anyway, so it is true that if this gets eaten up by a piece of spark plug...

i dont think im going to have any problems. during datalogging at idle today, she cranked, fired, and idled nicely.

Yea. Sorry I got pissy kuro. You've always been cool to me. This whole install has just been frustrating. I guess I just lost my cool.

Just drove the car about 20 miles. Runs perfectly in closed loop cruising and normal acceleration. Now for some adjustments and some more logging.

update: made 5 psi slightly rich at 2/3 throttle. seems quick. logging and re-tuning.

i think its safe to say that nothing is in my combustion chamber.

I'd think if anything was in it it would definitely caused a problem by now, could have disintegrated or fallen through

That's what I assumed when I saw the break, but even with the borescope, I was still a bit nearvous.

prevent detonation now, and then use it when im built... i figured why not?

Im not detonating now, but when 10 psi is going into the motor, detonation will be game over.

ive been scared since i put the cams in 40k miles ago... did i mention that my car has 96k miles?

yup the goal is to get the new motor finished before this one blows up.chris @ bbr said it should be fine.
