I assume the sticky summer only tires are why i'm seeing it on the M6 car and didnt see it on the A6 equipped car.
That's also because you shock the drivetrain when you drop the clutch with a manual. With an auto, all the drivetrain is preloaded when you're on the converter.
GTOs had the same issue except with its IRS, wheel hopping meant you were going to break an axle stub or halfshaft.
Adjustable LCA's and a pinion angle of 2 degrees cured my wheel hop, and mine hopped horribly when stock.[/QUOTE
Do you have the stock Brembo springs? What was the pinion angle before you set it at 2 deg?
I think its just the summer p zeros. My blizzaks or invos didn't hop like the pirellis...
O RLY?
Then how does a fully stock suspended car minus front swaybar and with rear QA1 shocks go 1.50 60 foot?
Wheel hop is caused by two things;
1) Axle stability (lack of)
2) Wheel speed (too much)
Wheel hop can be cured by two things;
1) Stabilizing Rear Axle
2) Increasing Traction
If someone does not have wheel hop on a stock car, it is due to their wheel-speed when spinning the tires. If the tires are spinning "too" much, there will be no wheel hop. If they are barely spinning (car is spinning but car is moving at a decent rate) wheel hop will typically be worse / more violent.
There are several ways to increase stabilization of the rear axle. Bushings, Springs, LCA, UCA.
There are several ways to promote traction. Less aggressive driving, stickier tires, suspension / adjustments.
If someone is experiencing wheel hop, the EASIEST and usually cheapest method of eliminating it is LCA

I had very light wheelhop, LCA's brought it down to nothing.
Still looking to replace that stamped steel UCA soon!
