Good news i lost weight with these brakes!
Stock front caliper with halfworn pads and rubber brake line - 12lbs
Baer 6P caliper with stainless steel brake line, pads and caliper adaptor- 8lbs

So i lost 6-7lbs with Baer 14" rotors all the way around and 6P calipers up front!

Really? wow didn't see weight savings coming lol

Me niether lol. The baer 14'' rotors weigh the same as the stock rotors so i didn't loose any rotational mass. But the the 6P aluminum calipers are 4 lbs lighter than stock caliper. So i figure adding 4 aluminum caliper brackets at each wheel added a 1-2 lbs, So i sill ended up loosing 6-7lbs off the front!

Stock door mirror assembly complete: both together are 4.5 lbs. But just think of the wind resistance those things make at 140 mph haha.

No, I just took them off all together for what I consider a cleaner look. No more dog ears. Its a race car.

Do you think these will be street friendly? Please let us know how these are on the street.

I think they will not be on most peoples cars. I would only advise this if your running a 15" skinny in the front.

I drive my bogarts on the street to so It will go hand in hand how I drive, just have to be smart. Plus my car is way way lighter then 70% of the cars on the site. At this point im going extreme with weight savings. I would advise everyone to to other weight saving tactics before going to drag brakes. I already took 380 lbs out of my car before this winter. Now it's getting harder and harder to ditch weight but im going where no other street s197 has gone lol.

I will keep everyone posted when I do my winter build thread. Goal is to get the car down to 3000 lbs even

I actually havn't put them on the car yeat (im collecting all my winter parts and installing them one shot) But going by the info on the first page

Stock caliper with line 11lbs each = 22lbs
Stock rotor 19llbs each =38lbs

I just put the whole strange box on a scale with all hardware/pads (minuds brake lins) and it weighed 26lbs!!!!

So I should see a 34 lb savings! Plus you have to cut some of the spindle off so that might be another 2-3 lbs.

I will be driving them on the street and will give feed back

By the way. Since the stock rotor weighs 19lbs, these rotors are only 7 lbs.... that's 12lbs per side of rotating mass getting kocked off ;)

Those look familiar. I wouldn't use these for any kind daily driving unless you lived only 5 miles from work with two stops lights. They stop fine from 130+ mph, but I would think the rotors would warp from heat in stop and go traffic

I understand what you are saying... My car only comes out at 10pm at night.... I Swear, I work all day and by the time I get home to take it out it's already dark. My car only seen 3000 kms of driving last year and that's me going to the track every other weekend. The worst worst case if I happen to warp a set of rotors once a year... I can deal with that.

Plus our roads here are 60km speed limit and the highway is 100km speed limit. The only time the brakes would really heat up is when I really get on them hard, which would only happen if someone cuts in front of me or crashes in front of me (last summer a van crossed all 3 lanes and came 4 feet from hitting me) With a stick car I can slow the car down slightly by down shifting and save the brakes... I will be fine I know it. Everyone said the same with my bogarts but I still did it anyway :p Im going to make brake duct's to constantly cool them off also

Front stock rotor 19lbs, rear rotor 13lbs
Front stock caliper with line, pads 12lbs
Didnt weigh the rear calipers as they are still on the car.

Greg and I weighed some stuff today while installing his alum radiator.

Stock radiator - 11 lbs
Mish 52mm twin core alum radiator - 15lbs
Stock fan/shroud - 5lbs

(added capacity was around 1-2 quarts of coolant, 3-4lbs)

I believe those were the numbers Greg has them written down.
