How to remove rear mirrow

I have the PDF but cant get the rvm off...anyone done it that explain it more clearly

I ended up breaking my windshield getting mine off, but I got the windshield replaced for free. The tech said to me "Why didn't you come to us first before you broke the windshield? We take those mirrors off every day."

So therefore my suggestion is to stop by your local Safelite store and ask if they might be able to help you get the mirror off without breaking the windshield.
