Ok so I have finally decided to upgrade my factory audio components.

Here's what I have
-standard 4 speaker, non-shaker sterero
-pioneer avh-p4000dvd headunit
-1 JL W3v2 10in sub w/1400 watt JL amp

I want to get JL speakers for the doors and rear deck but I don't know what to go with. I know crutchfield says what will fit but I want you guy's input before I do anything.

Should be 6x8's but for JL your going to have to go with a component system. I think they only have 6x8 adapters with 5.25 and tweeter openings. I have Infinity Kappa 682.9CF's and love them.

bout 10 screws and a couple trim pieces. I can get the door off in about 3 minutes. I went with a component system and installed the tweeters in the door panel.

Sounds really good and I can pivot the tweeters to aim them where ever I want.

Built my own box for the trunk. Built much like a stealth box from JL only it cost me about $40 to build it. Had a 10w3 in there for a while. Swapped out to an Alpine Type-R with Alpine 1200watt mono block amp.

Not hard at all.

Pop the little cover off behind the handle, remove screw (torx head)
Remove switch panel (pops out)
Remove screw there
Remove assorted screws around door panel sides.
Pull panel straight up ( it hangs on the window lip)
Then unhook the connectors behind it
