What all is in the kit? I'd estimate the biggest difference would be the springs. The two cars weigh differently and have different weight distribution which would require much different spring rates.

If you go to the steeda website it lists only one list of parts and says at the bottom fits both gt's and v6's so I'd guess nothing is different. You can always e-mail steeda and ask if there are any differences to be sure.

The same STOCK springs are used in the rear for GT's and V6's. For the front, GTs use a slightly stiffer spring rate than the V6s.

I just put the Steeda springs on mine with no issues. But check with Steeda to make sure.

the only difference that I know of is the strut tower brace, but both fit the GT. Also the V6 wou need som hardware for the rear swaybar, but the GT you are all good......

Someone call?

There is no specific kit for the v6, but the kit is interchangable between v6 and v8 with the exception of the strut tower brace. The V6 bar is different than the V8 one. You said the dealer was sent a V6 kit, but they would have had to specify that they needed a V6 strut tower brace, as the default brace in the kit is for a V8, so someone messed up somewhere along the line.

Long story short, just exchange the V6 bar for the V8 one and you're good, or switch your motor!

By the way, our springs are good for V6 or V8, no separate part #'s.

Thank you boss:allhail:

I'm afraid Swaybar can not be installed

This Note from steeda

Note: V6 models come with a 28mm front swaybar for an 85% increase in roll stiffness. V8 GT and GT500 models are equipped with a 34mm front swaybar for a 10% increase in roll stiffness

Part number 555-1056 includes Steeda's swaybar and outer mounting hardware. This swaybar uses the factory endlinks on GT HARDTOP models. Convertible models have different endlinks and are not compatible. Customer must purchase Hardtop endlinks separately from local Ford dealer or for the ultimate in control, use 555-1052 which includes new billet machined aluminum swaybar endlinks with urethane bushings. 555-1052 is compatible with all V8 models.

For V6 models without a rear swaybar, order part number 555-1052 and part number 555-1061 hardware kit for a complete installation.

This swaybar's diameter is 7/8".

There is no kit specific to the V6, so the swaybar is correct for your application since you said you have a V8, so you're good.

V6 guys have to buy extra hardware parts if they don't have a factory swaybar, but they have to get part# 555-1052 as the base swaybar for their car no matter what That swaybar is the V8 swaybar and that's what you received.

That's what I meant by your dealer had to order the Strut Tower bar incorrectly due to the fact that the kit is V8 specific. Any V6 order would have had to been put together separately to ship for a V6 customer.
