Bruce, I had no trouble with mine. The two bolts under the diff housing were the only two the didnt line up perfectly. It wasnt hard to align them using a drift pin.

Bruce, I'll be putting on my CHE brace on in the next few weeks if time permits. I'll keep you posted if you don't have yours on before mine.
Now, with the brace, is welding the axle tubes still necessary? I don't know any good welders in my area that could do it right.

I have yet to see a BOSS or Track Pack car twist.
thats because the torsens are breaking first.. haha
The gt500 has the same rear end as far as i know. After reading most of this and seeing the (rosette welds) on page 4 it seems that the gt500 axles don't twist. I am going to do this.
Does anyone have knowledge of a gt500 twisting the tubes??
LOL. No, but seriously, has anyone seen a Torsen diff bite the dust yet? I cant find one
The GT500 rearends are no different than the GT rearends. Twisting axle tubes is quite rare. Welding them or pinning them is more than sufficient. After reading most of this and seeing the (rosette welds) on page 4 it seems that the gt500 axles don't twist. I am going to do this.

Yes, it's the same. The gt500 has the same rear end as far as i know.
Torsens in the bosses seem to burn out under drag racing.
The old T2, and the T2R are known to break when drag racing, but the Boss/GT500 Torsen is considerably stronger, and seems to be holding up to drag racing well. Have you seen failures? Links? Aside from the one dumbass kid on SVTP who broke his from wheel hop.
