I'm going to go and get my 2010 Mustang GT.

I just heard today that the 5.0 motor may not end up in the 2011 like the rumor has it. If that be the case, I don't want to wait. I'm going to call up and speak with our Ford Racing rep on Monday and see if he can give me any insight. But it's looking like I may have myself a brand new Kona Blue 2010 Mustang GT within a week otherwise.

:boobies:

damn.... i would really try and wait for the 5.0L S197.... but if you have some insider info that suggests otherwise... i guess go for it.... that new kona blue really is something else, eh! really nice color indeed.

No. it's not 100%. it's still speculation.

Chris asked Jesse from Ford Racing about it the other day and it's not 100% b/c Ford is not changing the motor in the GT500 and they stated that it's too close in performance and power between the 2 motors. They want to keep the GT500 the high end car and the GT just that. The 2nd string. LOL

even if they do put the 5.0 in the 11's they are not looking like they will be that great like they did at first ... all it is is a tweaked/stroked 4.6 with 11 to 1 compression still using powder rods ..... only main difference I have heard of is the vct is getting changed , it basically looks like a baby ls motor from the " spy pics "

Just wait until December to make your decision, which is when the 2011 Mustang powertrain updates will be revealed(at the LA Auto Show). ;) The 2011 Mustang production is supposed to start next March.

John why not get a 09- for a good deal right now. i mean if u really love to get the current design i would understand. but as you work on a performance shop i bet that you would modify the car a lot i believe this would be the best way for you. you can get a great deal on a used one with or without mods and you already know what to do to it.

you sound unsure as well, i'd wait so you have no regrets incase they do release it.

Did you sell your truck already?

So John, wait for the 2011, It's gonna have the Wile. E. Coyote engine with Acme Forged Internals and Warner Brothers Gauges!!

I dunno man, just get an S197. But not Yellow. A White w/ black rag top would be pretty bad ass though.... :beerchug2:
