Installed my JLT II intake and tunes.

The install was cake, and the Xcal3 is a sweet little gadget.

I took it for a lap around the block, and I was so excited that I couldnt calm down to notice subtle changes. All I know is that the red line is higher, and this thing spins the wheels like no ones business. It even gets sideway when shifting to second. I'm afraid to see if it'll do it in 3rd.


So yeah, very happy, and the next mod is o/r mid pipe, then buy the rest when I get back from the desert.

Fixed the link, its notepad now, and I refuel aircraft on the ground.

I had a roommate at Offutt that was a crew chief on KC-135s. He'd refill his Zippo with JP-4. It made it entertaining at home when he was lighting cigarettes.

Nice mods by the way. Been thinking about the Che axle brace.

Your CAI looks good. Now about that "Sir" , it's Ed, MSgt, or Sgt. LOL

haha, good stuff, Sgt. I've only got 3.5 years in and currently a SrA. I missed Staff by 13 points my first time with out studying. I'll make it next year!

I installed a JLT on my buddies 05 and it looks kind of scary, as if it could come loose. But it's actually on there pretty tight, so it's all good!

I thought the "rubber boot" was harder than that and you could line it up with the little tabs on the T/B. ?? Looks like it's not straight.

Anyway, your plenum looks bad ass dude.

And, since you brought it up, if you missed SSgt by 13 points without studying, you know a bit of something. Then again, the promotion rates were at 60% so you pretty much just had to have enough time in service, show up and get your name right....You will not see those promotion rates that often my friend. Open the freaking books next time... That's friendly advice by the way...

O.K., you just reminded me of some stupid T.V. show, "Major Dad" I think, where the Marine guy was always in uniform and the kids all treated him like they were on active duty. Although you did give the option for using "Ed". LOL....

yea...well... I hate to burst your bubble but there are multiple threads on multiple boards about the X3 ( SCT doesn't call it an XCal3 ) crapping out on people. Apparently it was not ready for prime time when released. There are updates for it, you can find the links on SCT's fourm board. It apparently flakes out and starts saying it doesn't have any memory left and won't load tunes and won't allow you to put tunes on it.

I thought it was a little odd that the X3 just showed up out of nowhere. Usually when SCT is going to release something you hear about it for months before it hits the market. Hell, I don't think they even talk about it on their own web page. I know that American Muscle was selling them before I saw anything about them on the SCT forum board.

I have a JLT 2 CAI on my car and it does not look like that. Take the the rubber boot between the TB and JLT intake tube off. Install the rubber boot on the TB until it looks right and not ready to come off. Tighten it down, then install the intake tube into the rubber boot and tighten it down.
