HELP!

Ok, So I have my universal Vortech BAP wired in and all my motor does is turn over... It wont start.

Started with this
2013-01-14_14-04-21_152.jpg

Wired it up as so, from BAP
RED: connect to the side coming from the car
ORANGE: connect to the side going to the pump
BLACK: Ground
THIN BROWN: Nothing, taped shut

This pic shows the red wire going to main car harness, and the orange (taped over in pic) goes to the pump

Need to put a 30amp fuse in spot 13 on hood fuse panel. Make sure there is a 30amp in the fuse holder at the bap. And the brown wires need to be connected together.

Got it fixed, the fuses were all fine, but Vortech tech dude told me not to use the brown wire... He was wrong

Rewired it as per Kenaizer's text message pic and it fired right up.

From BAP
Red: car battery
Orange: Pump side of purple green
SKINNY BROWN WIRE: car side of purple green
Black: ground

I called Vortech before install and after install to make sure it was gonna get wired correctly, they both told me to do it the same way and to wire it directly in without using the brown wire...

Me 1 / Vortech 0

fuckin assclowns

I was told brown was not to be used and the power was to be supplied at the green purple wire! also the orange is on the pump side of the harness! my car starts fine and also put a 30 amp fuse under hood!

sounded confusing but it's not! cut purple with green wire. put the red wire on the cut end that is feeding the clip/ fpdm conector/harness. than put orange to the cut wire coming from the clip/harness. Put black wire to a ground. than brown tape off end (not used). simple install that is always installed wrong!

He installed his that way initially, didn't work for whatever reason. Even called and confirmed with Vortech. Not sure why, but wiring it the way the boost referenced pump is supposed to be wired up worked for him.

exactly, I wired it the way common sense dictated, and the way the Tech guy at Vortech said on the phone... Didnt work.

Then I rewired it all the way the mustang specific one is suppose to be wired, same way as Kenaizer showed me in his text pic, and it fired right up... Maybe the 13's are different.

Someone smarter than me who knows electronics and shit figure that one out
