Any guys on here run there Paxton cars with the new Magnum 6 speed yet? Just wondering how it performed I know JPC use's it but that dude can flat out drive an I'm just learning but my MT82 has about had all the 10 second pass's it can handle.


Gizmo has The magnum in his car....check out his build thread. Not sure if hes been to the track yet he just got it back together

I love my MagXL. It's about to be put to use here pretty soon once a few more things get dialed in. It's light years better than the Mt82

Thanks for the info I cant wait to see how it does at the track with some power shifting I'm up in the air about going auto or to the Magxl.

If you want easy and fast ETs, go auto, if you want a driving experience that's fun as fuck, go MagXL. It's really a personal choice.

Truth is, all guys with autos running fast ETs probably can't do it with a manual. And all manual guys running a bit slower are jealous of the auto times. It's a double edge sword.

Yep I've got the best of a 10.55 out of the car on slicks on the MT82 an I'm sure that was the pass that messed it up as it hasn't shifted the same at high RPM since lol. Although I couldn't get a consistent time going with the car an it's bothersome as the times were all over the mid to high 10's I guess some of that could be track prep at lil river.

Is the SC lube supplied by Paxton in 4oz bottles?
Do you add it to the dip stick hole when changing lube?
Nothing in the instructions nor on the bottle.

Yes, the bottles that came with it, uses one bottle per change, goes in dipstick hole.:thumb:

Its the manual and little river. I ran low 10's at little river. But I ran same times at SAR. If you want to be consistent go auto.

Sorry to side track but I was hopeing that a revison to my tune would fix my issue but it didn't.

When I try to start the car it takes about 3-4 seconds longer than usual to catch. You can hear the starter turning.

I thought maybe it was the BAP so I double checked it, and it's fine. Any ideas?

I'm using the vortech BAP with id1000s

Paxton max flow fuel pump booster? Came with the beefcake special. That's how he has it listed on his site. I believe it says vortech max flow fuel pump booster on it. Based on the diagrams I used I believe it is the universal one.

With that power and weight, you should be trapping what? Close to 170 and almost in the 7's Whats the best e.t. so far?

Also for the record I bought the beefcake special but not the Lund tune. Don't want anyone to think negatively on the kit or tune because everything is working as promised and is amazing. I'm sure this is something on my end.

Beefcake was awesome to work with, and anytime I sought info from him he is there with a quick response.

I will upload a video tonight. It's really not an issue just a nag that I can't figure out.
