Hello I am a rookie in regards to suspension theory but I am doing the best I can with what I have. A little background on my build. I am building a car to have more fun with at the track. It is my daily driver but I do want to attend more HPDE's. The car is an 07 GT 500. My Mod list goes as follows:
Kenny Brown Front LCA's, Kenny Brown Bumpsteer kit, Whiteline Watts Link, Whiteline UCA, Ford Racing Rear LCA's, BMR Rear LCA relocation brackets, Stock Sway Bars. I am currently in the Process of Installing Griggs/Ground Control Koni Coilover's. This install planted the seed to my question. The rear Coilover kit includes this bracket
(http://www.griggsracing.com/product_info.php?cPath=4332_4309_4328_2040_3646&products_id=630)
It is a support bracket for the shock mounting point. When installed it takes the place of the Rear Sway bar mount. Is it okay for me to remove the rear sway bar???? Or should I not run the bracket? I noticed since the Whiteline Rear Sway Bar does not attach the same way, it would not interfere with the bracket.
1. Should I proceed with install and not run the rear sway bar?
2. Should I proceed with install and not run the bracket?
3. Should I wait to install the rear coil overs and purchase the Whiteline Rear Sway bar?
Your help with this situation is highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I wouldn't run without a sway bar, I could be way off, but I would imagine it could add to the car maybe doing some unpredictable things, or increasing the tendency of the rear of the car to step out because it is not as tight as the front.

It would actually have the exact opposite effect of causing the rear to step out. Decreasing rear roll stiffness is going to increase understeer, or rear end grip relative to the front which means the car will want to chase a straight line when pushed to the limit.

Personally, since you are planning on ordering the Griggs kit, ask them what they recommend to run for rear springs without a rear swaybar. Ditching the rear bar but upping the rear spring rate should keep the chassis relatively neutral if you get the spring rate correct.

I been running without a rear sway bar for a hot minute. Love it.

Those Griggs coilovers generally come with a 400/200 in/lb spring rate. What did you get and what sway bar do you have on the front of the car?

Goodmorning gents. Both of my sway bars are stock GT 500 bars. I already have the coilovers and actually installed the fronts yesterday. I discovered the interference between the sway bar and bracket as I moved to install the rear kit. I actually don't know the spring rates because I bought them from a member on another forum. Let me see if I could find out.

You will be fine to remove it and drive it til you find a replacement. No safety issues, just understeer.

Pretty much what everyone has said.

I have a Griggs setup but I haven't ordered their sway bar yet, so I've been running without one.

It definitely effects the handling. I notice a lot more body roll to the point it almost feels like a truck in the back, but the car drives just fine.

That's actually a nice bracket Grigg's has there. I've been looking for a place to tie the ratchet straps to when towing our Mustang in a trailer.

As for running with no rear swaybar, it won't be "dangerous" just might make the car understeer like a pig. If you don't like how it feels on track with the new set-up I might suggest the Whiteline rear swaybar. As you can see in the image above it does not mount to the factory swaybar attachment out by the shock mount, so you shouldn't have an issue there.

Kenny Brown Front LCA's, Kenny Brown Bumpsteer kit, Whiteline Watts Link, Whiteline UCA, Ford Racing Rear LCA's, BMR Rear LCA relocation brackets, Stock Sway Bars
Ninja edit: Looks like it should work with all of that, and you already have the Whiteline Watts kit.
