Have an 05 GT automatic. Had to replace the cluster with a used unit. The mileage data is stored in the cluster. My understanding is the Ford dealer needs to do a "re-learn" to set the mileage correctly using FORD IDS. I called my local Ford dealer and they had no clue what I was speaking of (they referred me to a local cluster rebuilder).

Any thoughts or info greatly appreciated.

still have the old cluster? Likely it just needs new stepper motors.

I found a guy on eBay who can reprogram, but had to send my original cluster to "prove" the accurate mileage. I got a great shape junkyard six-gauge GT (to replace my "deluxe" four gauge cluster). Was well worth the $100 I spent.

You can see the thread, here:

thanks man. my six has a screwed up cluster due to leakage around the wind shield and wiper trough and that destroyed the motors on everything in the cluster exept for the tach.

Yeah, that's just that particular dealer, Dealers can reset the new cluster. I looked at the same thing for my 2008 that had a Deluxe set up. You can go online looking for the Primum cluster and it will also list companies that can reset the new cluster to the correct mileage,
