Alright guys just a question to see if any of u can help..I'm changing the front end on my 07 gt and when I took the front bumper off ,I noticed the intercooler, the car is fitted with the m90 blower and thought that it was abit small,is there a upgrade for these cars?and if I stay with this one is there a fluid that I can replace it with for what ever is in there now? Just trying to get abit more power out of her and thought if I can get It cooler in should help..does this effect my tune as well? Any help would be great cheers:thumb:

The heat exchanger that came on the 2010 Roush 427R is huge, about 3x as large as the older version. I have no idea on a source or price but that would work just as well as the high dollar Afco dual core with fans.

If you want more power then VMP is the right place to find it. They are M90 experts and can set you up with a pulley and tune upgrade or if you want to go all out you can get the TVS1900 blower swap like I did.

Thanks m8..I'm not sure what the max hp I can get out of the m90..I've done pulley changes etc and have a custom tune that was done on a dyno..it's pulling 515hp and 495 torque at the crank..stock internals..:)

Well then you're probably about as far as you're going to get with the M90. Your next logical step is the TVS1900 and a forged engine. :thumb2:

As soon as I get back over to VMP we are expecting 700+ on race gas. :snoopy

Yeah I was reading your thread..looks like I'm in the same boat..when I got the tune done they gave me a 2nd one that retards the timing by 5degs as I have a progressive nitros system which I havn't fitted..if I put in 100hp that only a extra 12hp per cylinder what's your thoughts?.:)

I looked into that giant roush HE. I'm sure it's great but the AFCO is cheaper, unless you can find a deal.

Maybe someone in Scotland can make you a nice one? It's basically a radiator. Experimentation, math, and fab would need to be done. I'd copy the 2010 Roush unit.

Sorry guys must have put this in the wrong section to start with, thanks for moving it..might take me abit to get used to this site as the ones in the uk aren't broken down into so many sections and I get confused so easy..I must be what u guys call a fuckard..:)))

what is your RWHP? your crank number is BS unless you pull the motor out and put that on a dyno. The stock internals can handle between 450 and 500 at the wheel before you risk breaking something.

I've 515hp at the crank and was told that u lose about 17% though the drivetrain so that works out at 440 at the wheels..I know what your saying about pulling the motor and testing on a bench with nothing connected etc..so basically putting the gass on wouldn't be a good idea..:(

You're just about maxing out that little M90 and the stock rods. I wouldn't run the nitrous on it, if it were me, until you get a forged bottom end. The improved heat exchanger would help, as your inlet temps have to be running very high with the smaller pulley.

Cheers guy..thought I might have been on the limit..I knew the m90 is abit of a screamer and can get hot..I've got the super snake bonnet on which should help and if I get a bigger heat exchanger and put in a higher spec coolant in can I over cool it?.. This might seem a boring topic but it's hard getting good advise over here..there's only a couple who one their stuff but it's always good to hear what others have to say..thanks again..:)

Try a better heat exchanger and a faster water pump.
The faster you're moving the supercharger coolant, the less time it's in the intercooler getting heated.
If you're running the ROUSH pump, it flows about 4 GPM.
A Meziere pump flows 20 GPM.
Theoretically, it's inside the intercooler 1/5th the amount of time with the Meziere.

I'm not sure you can over-cool it.

Coolant is actually less efficient at heat transfer than plain water (but it won't corrode metal). Your most efficient coolant will be plain water with some Water Wetter. I also add about 10-15% antifreeze just for the corrosion inhibiting properties.

Chris is correct about the pump. More flow is better. Be aware that the posted flow rates are unrestricted (pumping into an open bucket) and actual flow rates in a closed system will be about half. Our stock pump is rated for 8gpm but flows about 4-4.25gpm in real life. The Meziere 20gpm will flow about 10gpm in real life.
