Replaced the busted POS Koni STR.T Front Struts today with a set of Stange 10-way adjustable Struts.
I know in my tech thread related to this issue; some suggested going through the Koni Warranty process.
Well that's a headache I don't want to deal with and it still lands me with a strut that didn't impress me when I put them on. They felt like a minor upgrade in terms of stiffness from OEM struts.
I've talk to a few and the Strange Strut seems to be a tried and true upgrade, especially for a straight line oriented car; so here I am.
I got this done and reinstalled the front sway bar and I have to say I'm very happy with these struts. No noise this far (Koni had noise from day one). A good ride at 4 clicks in the front.
I plan to get matching Strange 10 way shocks for the rear.
Also, I have a set of MMD Zevens in Charcoal finish (20x8.5(f) and 20x10 (r)) being Shipped and expected to arrive tomorrow. I'll test fit the front wheel to see if a spacer is needed and how much of a spacer is needed.
Will with American Muscle has a set on his car with a 8mm spacers. I wish one wasn't needed at all or one not a big as that. But, hopefully, since I'm running a 6 piston Brembo (instead of his 4 piston) I can skate by with a smaller spacer and have more thread engagement to make me feel better. AM hasn't fitted these wheels to a 6-piston car yet. So this could be a first with this wheel.
