JLT Intakes are super nice. I have a C&L and with I could go to the JLT 3. But would a 400whp NA car gain anything from that change? God knows I would pay $72 to upgradefrom a 6yr old 89mm intake bought used to a Brand New 110mm... You can barely buy a new K&N filter alone for that lol

I think that both intakes are great. No problems with either companies products ever.

I am looking forward to getting one of these. Right now I have the series 2 and its great, but the elbow has become discolored.

Will the tube on the series 3 discolor over time?

The elbow on the series 2 is solid rubber. Wash it with a good quality soap and water, then use any tire shine to bring it back to shiny black. We have brought many greyish elbows back to new condition with this process.
Once clean, use tire shine on it to keep it black.

The coupler on the 3 is silicone and will not discolor.

I appreciate the response! I will get to cleaning this weekend. The 3 is on my holiday list so hopefully the wifey comes through, a few extra ponies are always appreciated.

I'll have to revel in your internet prowess later. I'll be good with you removing the slanderous post and the personal attacks. We'll call it good from there and end this.

seriously, this is old news. JLT knows about it, everyone knows about it. I really didn't want to put them up because it would serve no purpose.

ut, here ya go

Yeppie, you do have what I've said you have all along.
A 6 year old kit
that's made it through 2 previous owners
possibly replaced at one time
and your using it to try and hurt me because I refused to replace it for free.

Not to mention it has nothing to do with thie product questioned in the thread, LOL.

BTW, none of the ones replaced looked like that ;) that looks a tad "over done"

Thanks for posting.

you're hilarious, always time for you to call me names, slander me and make up facts. But never time to back up that I threatened you, which you know I never have.

Ken04...Seriously??? Who expects a company to honor a warantee of a second hand or third hand product.

Warantees generally stop after the first owner.

Your issue should be with the party that sold the used JLT unit to you, not the manufacturer.

Bigger businesses than JLT offer lifetime warantees (look at most brake pad warrantees or muffler shop warantees) on parts but only for the original purchaser.

Take the $72 offer or leave it but no need to rehash this here...

I left it, I want nothing except a retraction of the slander and name calling.

Cant this thread die already? Ken has his beliefs and Jay has stated his. Neither side are going to budge so this is at a stalemate.
