I'm just going to pull the blower off and sell the car for peanuts lol.
I'll buy it for some peanuts. Seriously, will buy at a reduced price, and put a new motor in.

I'll know by monday which direction the car is going in. If it's a head replacement deal I may just fix it, if it's a bent rod or something to that degree I'll let you know. I may have to just part it out since it has a ton of mods that would bring in more cash as a part out IE a bunch of CF, H&R coil overs, suspension bits, built rear end, GT500 front end etc...etc...
I have heard phaser in a 4.6 3v in a expedition sound that bad. Thought initially was a rod cause no way anything else could be that loud. Glad it was simple.. we replaced vct solenoids, chains, guides and tensioners while in there. 150k miles now and that was around 20k miles ago.
Check your oil... cut the filter if you can. If you lost a rod bearing you will find metal.
Vct screens have a habit of clogging up and limiting oil also. You would be surprised how little it takes to screw up those oil circuits
I am going to go out on a limb and say it is not a bad bearing here. Vct can cause all sorts of weird codes also
My friend took a look today and indeed the phasers are shotSo I ordered the FRPP cam timing kit and i'm on the hunt for a set of blower cams. Might as well upgrade while I'm in there
Can't wait
