Kooks Headers not good?

There were several of us that had problems in the 2002-2005 era with fox bodies and Kooks headers. Their experience may be mostly with those cars.

My Kook's with High Flow Catted H-Pipe have been on since '07 with absolutely no problems what so ever. Plus, they look as good as the day I put them on..!!

Could be; I hope not has anything can break at any time, my HFC broke, contacted Kooks, they replaced it so all was good.

Just got an update from the shop. The reason they said that was because the last set he installed a week ago one of the header tubes was hitting the frail rail on the drivers side.

FWIW, the kooks headers primary designs arent setup to compensate for the 5.0's firing order. Take that for what you will though.

Now if they made a header with the correct primary firing order, equal length, true long tube and merge spikes. That would be a perfect header.

With the larger tube design obviously there is more of a clearance issue. Install and pacing can be very critical. Stock engine mounts or aftermarket?

Those were the bad ones. Problem is when they didn't fit, there wasn't anything you could do. One side had a tube above the frame and the other side under. So no lifting or lowering engine to fix. The new one they sent fit better the the driver still touched on the underside of the frame. Doesn't rattle like the other side did so we left it.

With Kooks 1 7/8 I highly recommend Prothane motor mounts. The equal length primaries take up a lot of space.
