Has anybody installed a L&M Single Blade 82mm Throttle Body yet? If so how much power did you pick up?

This is one of those mods that will compiment ALL current possible bolt ons. By itself i doubt it does anything significant.

It worked out really well on our project car because we were using the Boss manifold and nitrous. It's really a matter of what your plans are with the car. We know that we're going to end up going with a supercharger, and this throttle body is really going perform well. On a naturally aspirated car, the throttle body isn't enough of a restriction until you have Cams, LT's and Manifold before you need it.

They're awesome quality, beautiful product. We actually just picked them up. Should be available from us on our store in a day or two.

Any number speculations for a car with intake, tune, full exhaust, and possibly JPC cams?

We talking 2whp? 12whp?

On a NA motor it is extremely hard to pick up HP specially on a motor like the 5.0

We were extremely happy to see the gains we did see with the L&M82TB on these motors.
With our own testing we seen 10rwhp (CAI and tune was installed before our testing was done, we also used the same setup with a boss intake and seen the same 10hp gain on the same car)

The TB's have been tested and used by a few shops now including a magazine test, done by a shop in Florida. (keep an eye out for it in 5.0 and fast fords)

All testing that has been done by shops so far that we have heard back from with results, have been between 10-12rwhp (about a half a dozen different shops/test)
Back to back test with just swapping out the TB's
So those numbers/gains have been pretty consistent.

One test we heard back from with the boss intake showed 5-6rwhp peak gains with about 9hp in the mid range from the TB, but they felt it could have been in the tune since they were still playing with it from the manifold change

With a blower we would expect more.
With a highly modified motor we would expect more gains too.

There is allot more to a TB then just the size of it.
You need to look at the complete airflow path through the TB(shape, throttle shaft, Blades etc) .
Increased airspeed and reduced turbulence will make HP
Even though a TB can be larger in size if it has a bad air-path design which creates turbulence and loses airspeed it will make less HP even though its larger So bigger is not always better when it comes to a TB.

The L&M 82 actually measures over 82mm but less then 83. We could have rounded it off and called it an 83 but felt that wouldn't be right to do.

The stock intake and boss intake opening measure 82.6-82.9mm.
You might be able to bolt on a larger TB to the intake but the mismatch would cause so much turbulence you would lose HP.

Here is one of our first test with one.
Tasca Ford help us with all our R&D and testing with this 5.0 TB.(l&m 82mm)
They have tried the TB on many cars now and have seen 10rwhp consistently too.

my guess is your first number

2-4 is what we normally seen with a TB on a 4.6 NA motor
Yes it is definitely hard to pick up HP on a NA motor that's why we were extremely pleased to see the 10HP gains on this setup.

To be honest if we only seen 2-3hp with our testing with the TB on this setup(5.0) we would have never released it.

These are with out a retune? Just straight bolt on?
