wtf where are the dyno results man?
I got hot rods ready to go in just sitting on them a bit.

two people recommended detroit rockers over them though so I'm still researching.
Being that I already have hot rods in my possession I am not sure it's worth selling them and adding another $300 for the rockers if they make like 5more hp.

I've seen dyno results on the net for rockers looks like it's a tossup like the hot rods.
I've seen people gain from 20-30hp with them, same shit with hot rods.. but there is more tuning info out there on hot rods and AM would send me a free update. I'm not too greedy I love that HR sound though.

I don't think that most would agree with all of your conclusions. 330rwhp is a pretty common number with Hot Rods and long tubes. IMO that's more than a small gain. The tuner needs to know how to tune them though. FRPP includes a guide for cam retard that makes a significant improvement over the stock retard settings.

What are the CC2? 127200 or 500? IMO Hot Rods will make more power than the 127200. Like Weatherman suggested Lunati has some nice grinds too.

Can somebody tell me where a person might find these timing retard values?

You will have to give up your bama tune to get the most out of them. Perhaps it was an anomaly but I've seen a bama tuned 3v with hot rods make a whopping 300rwhp. A/F was close to 12.0 and max spark advance was 27 degrees. It was very driveable though.

Use your thinking skills when you interpret internet posts on gains. Some tuners haven't figured out how to get hp from cams. There is more to it than just the frpp retards but that is part of it. Look at not only their gains but also who the tuner was, dyno correction, etc. I'm sure you already know these things but it doesn't hurt to have a reminder.

I've read pretty good things about bama with hot rods though..
I'd have to do my research on tuners I know even some real dyno tunes don't touch on all the parameters bama does...

Here is a guy who made 334/325 on his bama tuned bolt on stang with hot rods. (last march)

I mean by now AM/bama has to have tuned for hot rod cams in the hundreds.

I'm pretty sure the car I'm talking about was only a year ago. Maybe something has changed since then. I'm only telling you what I saw in person. The afr and spark was also being monitored at the time. The owner was disappointed.

gotcha I always take dyno's with a grain of salt unfortunately not a lot of people are posting before and after track times so I can see some trap speeds lol. I'm going to stick with the HR's and if needed have to research a good dyno tuner down the line.
If it performs at the track as I expect than no need to further the investigation.

Another guy in that same thread actually got 340rwhp, bolt on's+hot rods and a BBR tune.
fuckin internet.

I'd just go all the way and do the valve train and phasers while it's apart. Might as well yank the heads and have a port and clean up too. Your that far anyways

I bet your right. I'm really thinking about going with a stage two cam. Maybe I can get some useful info after they give me they're sales pitch.

You aren't going with the 450 cams in the classifieds? They are almost identical to the 127500 cams except for 4 more degrees of exhaust duration and 1 more degree of LSA. I'm running a set of cams that are ground very close to the 450 and really like them. They make decent power even while locked out, are driveable and weren't too bad to tune.

That's a hell of a deal in the classifieds imo.

I like my DR even with the turbo, but the BAMA N/A tune was not toooo hot on the DR

127350 Cams is what I'm looking at.

Lito with the turbo
Bama when I was N/A

Bama tune had some issues, like to hesitate

Lito Tune Smooth as Silk

I need someone better than bama tunes. Lito doesn't tune just basic bolt ons does he? I have a dyno tune, but the trans part of the tune is horrible.
