Loss of power and exhaust sounds odd.

I need help. I did a quick burnout last night with the traction control in the one push off setting. Just as it hit the Rev limiter and as I shifted the engine light started blinking and the exhaust started sounding odd, kind of muffled with no rasp when I get on it. I have a Vortech V3si kit and muffler delete pipes with the Vortech tune. No other mods.

It's not showing any codes when I use my sct programmer to check. But when I go into high rpms under boost the light flashes for about 30 seconds.

Any ideas what might be wrong with it?

Check engine light flashing generally means severe misfiring, imminent engine damage, or the like. But I don't know why there's no code.

Can you datalog it?

Do you feel a loss of power when the light starts to flash? Could be going into limp mode but I would think that would clear itself once the car was shut off and restarted again.

Maybe try disconnecting the battery for a few mins and try again. If it still occurs afterwards then something may have broke

Ok I'll try data loging it. It feels like it's down on power whenever I get on the gas. I checked the codes this morning after it happened again and got a p0300.

Here's a data log file. this is a quick pull from second into third gear. The check engine light started flashing at the top of third. that's when i let off of the gas and coasted for a few seconds.

No. They are the stock plugs. I had the supercharger put on by Vortech at around 13,000 miles. I'm at 32,000 now. I'm going to check the plugs as soon as my motor cools down.

It could be a faulty O2 sensor which would affect fuel trims and could cause it to misfire.

Would that show erratic readings on the track apps screen? When I watch the AFR gauge in that it looks normal.

Didja have the gaps pulled in on the plugs? No way in hell the huge stock gap is going to regularly light off a boosted mixture.

I just put a set of NGK iridium in. One step colder and gapped to .35, the old plugs looked good and we're gapped to
.35 also.

I'd lay off the boost if the light was on for 30 seconds.

It's still sounding like a random misfire, even though it isn't coding that, according to your report.

Pull the terminals off the battery and leave it for a bit. I find when you bang the limiter on this car strange side effects can occur, especially if your tune is a bit off.

Try logging your fuel trims. I don't think they'd show on the AFR guage and/or not be easy to detect.

I didnt see an option for fuel trims. Do you know which box on the SCT hand held that i need to look for?

I changed the plugs yesterday just to be safe, went with NGK iridium one step colder. Im not getting the check engine light yet but the throttle feels sluggish and it still feels down on power.

log short term fuel trims (stft), Also log Knock. I didn't see either of those on there.
The log doesn't look terrible and (timing is good and the Iat's look good from what is provided on there)

Get those Stft , Knock and lambda.
Also turn traction completely off via holding down the button for 10 sec until advancetrac is completely off.

than post a log again. Also can you pull car to 7000-7200?

I'll try to get one in tonight with those boxes checked.
A friend of mine suggested that I might have a leaking head gasket under boost. But I'm not seeing smoke, water in the oil or bubbles in the coolant. Is it possible to only lose pressure under boost?

I replaced the plugs. The old ones looked good. No oil fouling and from what I could find online, the color indicates good combustion.
