Before I had any overheating/melting issues with my fan/connectors or fuse box, I installed the
wireeverything Dual Speed 8 gauge fan Relay Harness (see Link) to externalize the higher amp requirements of the fan assembly. I also installed a New Ford Performance SVT 7 Blade 2013 Cooling Fan assembly which flows 40% more air, thus Cooling alot better. The main reason for many of these melting wires overheating is caused by an
old fan assembly laboring to work properly and drawing more current thus melting wires and receptacle and overheating relays. Its a Ford flaw with too small a gauge wires and the lack of proper maintenance by the car owners to prevent the cooling fan from failing and drawing excessive current over time, thus melting/overheating wires and relays and receptacle. If you know anything about how these circuits work, its easy to figure out.

I installed this harness back in Feb and it has worked great. No worries about melting wires and this increased airflow keeps my engine temps alot more consistent. I reset my low and high speed fan on temps down to 206(Low) and 216(high). My car runs 99% of the time at 198-200 even in very warm days. The low speed fan takes care of all the cooling needs and it operates perfect. The high speed fan would only come on when you have a real cooling issues. That's what it's for. Emergencies.
Top yellow circle is the 40 amp circuit breaker and the bottom yellow circle are the dual relays. You can place that harness anywhere you please but that is where I mounted mine. Most of the extra harness wiring went under the fuse box.
The ground wire attached to the battery ground location on the passenger strut tower and the 40 amp breaker next to that.
The main 8 gauge power wire attached to the fuse box power wire on the strut side of the fuse box. A little modding is needed to attach the extra power wire from the harness.
The upgraded 7 Blade SVT 2013 High Flow fan assembly. (this upgrade is not needed for the system/harness to work but I upgraded it for increased airflow for my GT500).
New FP SVT 7 Blade fan 2013 to the left/old factory fan to the right. (Replacing the fan assembly took me 9 minutes). Very easy R&R project. Disconnect the fan harness receptacle and 2 bolts. The fan assembly pulls right out. Easy Peasy!
Non melted fuse box to fan connector receptacle. (Note it is not melted). This receptacle has to be in good shape for everything to work.
This was my preventative solution to a very well known Ford wiring issue along with the cooling fan issues. Most people never replace their fan assemblies until the car overheats or it melts all the wires. They waited too long. Not a good situation that will give you plenty of issues unless you spend some money on preventative maintenance.
NOTE::::: IF YOU FIX THE WIRING AND OTHER MELTED ISSUES, YOU BETTER REPLACE THE FAN ASSEMBLY. THAT IS WHY YOU ARE MELTING WIRES! OTHERWISE YOU ARE JUST GOING TO BE REPEATING SOME OF YOUR ISSUES. A NEW FAN IS A MUST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
