Hey guys I'm new to the forum, I have an 08' california special and sometimes when I start driving and shift into third I'll grind it. This will happen no matter how far down I push the clutch or how deliberate or gently I put it into gear. I was reading through some posts and heard about this, is there a recall for this or just people hoping there will be? The car is only seven months old and has 6000 miles on it. Any feedback would help thanks.

I doubt there is going to be a recall since a recall is only done when there is a safety issue. A grinding transmission is not a safety issue.

Perhaps you are meaning to ask if there has been a technical service bulletin issued for the problem. If that is what you mean, then yes, there has been. It is for the 2007-2008 year models. Here are the TSBs

If your car is still under warranty and you have a legitimate issue that you can duplicate with a service adviser in the vehicle with you I wouldn't think it would matter if there was a TSB on the issue or not. It should be a warranty issue and repair. Have you taken it to the dealership yet for the problem?

Its actually in the shop, now but for a different reason; my car alarm is acting weird. But thanks for the help.

Hopefully you were able to duplicate the problem with a service rep and they will get it taken care of for you. Good luck
