Why do you have a transmission temperature gauge? Are you using an automatic, or is that to monitor the temp of the gear fluid?

To monitor the gear oil temp. The dog box trans creates a lot of heat and has an internal oil pump so a remote cooler can be used. I'm not going to use a cooler if I don't have to.

You should get with Alan at SOS for a kick ass panel for the gauges and switches.

Marc - car is coming along great, can't wait to hear it start up.

Removed the fuel tank and tig welded a sump to the bottom of it. I also added more baffling to the inside to help control the fuel from sloshing. Tonight, I will run the -8 fuel line from the tank to the pump.

Do you have any concern about body integrity? Ford advertises the Boss 302s: "Lightened body assembly for rigidity and safety through finite element analysis (FEA)"

Your power and speed levels will go well beyond that car. Does BMR provide data on their Kmember?

I'm not aware of any. There are a few modified GT500's and supercharged FR500's that I race with that use the BMR K member and their results have been positive. Before I bought the K member, I explained the application to BMR. They assured me that I would not have any isses with the K member. However, they talked me out of the control arms. They seemed to be very forthright with me, so I am going to take their word for it. I will keep a very close eye on it though.

I don't have aftermarket control arms.

Tonight, I mounted the power steering reservoir and built the braided lines. The engine compartment is starting to get pretty full of braided hoses. Other than the lines that attached to the oil pan for the piston squirters, I think I am just about done with engine compartment hoses.

Oh ya, I still don't have the transmission. But I do have a tracking that says it will be here on Monday.

Tonight, I finished building and installing the -10 fuel line. I also decided to build a -3 slave cylinder line. A little tig welding, and I made an adaptor to hook it up.

I also took a few photos of the dry sump system after I changed the routing of some of the hoses.

Today, I built a bracket, installed the fan, and wired it to a relay that's behind the switch panel. I also wired the starter solenoid and added an engine to chassis ground. I know someone will ask why the fan is offset to the drivers side. The reason for this is, I need room for a right angle drill so I can prime the dry sump pump.

Today is the first day that I actually feel like the "to do" list is getting short.

Finally, the trans arrives. Straight cut gears, double bearing handcuff, and no syncros. The Long shifter and Long set back should put the handle in the factory location.

I still need to run the -16 and -20 oil lines and make headers. It should be running and driving this month.
